yellow coat 2 ways: Casual chic vs. business chic

Casual chic look: coat: Zara, Necklace: Zara; Denim shirt: H&M; Jeans: Mango; belt: C&A; Heels: Nine West; Bag: Zara (old)
Business chic look: Pants: Mango (old), blouse: H&M; necklace: HRH Collection

When that lemon yellow coat peeked through the racks and caught my attention , I couldn't resist but trying it on and taking it home with  me. That lemon shade is an instant mood lifter and awakes spring feelings in me, yet its unique design with the half zipper and upper pockets is a coat I haven't had in my collection yet. It's such a versatile piece to dress looks up and down. I totally see wearing that coat with my favourite white dress and cute skirts but spring didnt' make its' full appearance yet to showcase. So here we go, the coat styled for work and spare time. Which one do you like best?

Camo tomboy chic + wedding guest attire winner

Necklace: Zara; Blouse and Sweater: H&M; Blazer: Zara;  Pants: C&A; Peep Toes: Gabor; Bag: Italian Leather Designer Bag by Carbotti

I got inspired to create this tomboy chic look by Jenna Lyons, the creative director of J. Crew. Her significant style is :

  • Wearing opposites like feminine/masculine.

  • Mixing up textures like wearing sweater with silk

  • Wearing statement jewelry

I added a luxe touch to my camo pants by topping it with my favourite jewel Statement necklace and a white silk button up.  Camo pattern paired with elegant black basics like a blazer or pumps looks serious. A classic way to be dressed to have dinner with friends or the man's friend.

Don't you think Jenna is a great style Icon?

Monday Bloom Link up on Fall Wedding guest attire - Photo booth

Dress: Asos; Bag: Asos; Heels: Shoe Dazzle;Necklace: H&M

Recently, I got quite a few requests on what to wear to a wedding. I already did a post about what to wear on a summer wedding (click here).
As fall is approaching I am teaming up with my lovely Elena @ dc in style  and our guest host Rebecca @Red Tag Chic Los Angeles to show you what to wear to a fall wedding.

As important to look gorgeous on such an event it is also to capture those moments on pictures to look back at some great memories. The lovely Danielle  from treasuredmems contacted me and wanted to let you know how to create precious memories with a photo booth:

"Do you remember the excitement of jumping into a photo booth with your friends, making faces and posing for the camera? Or maybe you would drag your boyfriend or girlfriend in and surprise them with a kiss behind the curtain? Photo booths elicit fond memories from so many people and their place in history is undeniable. Andy Warhol made photo booths fashionable in the 1960’s asking celebrities like Marilyn Monroe to pose for him in a photo booth in Times Square. Soon he was asked to create magazine covers and exhibitions using his unique artistic take on the common photo booth.

Such an unmistakeable machine may have an auspicious place in history, but recently, they have started to emerge, coming back into the fold as a popular form of photography. Imagine your next event - wedding, engagement party, birthday - and being able to capture all those precious moments the way that they used to be captured. Photo booths are again an affordable and accessible way to document your special occasion, preserving wallet sized, lasting memories. There are many companies that offer photo booths for hire, they come in different sizes, with different cameras and printing capabilities. Treasured Mems offers stylish, curtained photo booths that come with an assistant. Imagine how excited your guests will be when they turn up to celebrate and realise that there is a photo booth involved!

While it’s common to take photos on our phones these days, sometimes you are just having too much fun to remember to take any photos. A photo booth makes the documentation of your event, a part of the event! It’s the perfect solution. And these days most photo booths come with the option to save your photos onto a usb, so not only do you have the thrill of receiving an instant, printed copy, you also have them saved so you can print more out of enlarge them if you like. They really add a little style and pizzazz to your event."

Thank you for this interesting info. If you want more information or even consider it for your next wedding or party, make sure to check out their homepage!

floral shorts- 3 ways

Outfit I: Shorts: Zara similar by Romwomen; Peplum: forever 21; Clutch: Boutique in Zajecar, Serbia: Heels: Zara; Bracelets: Serbia Boutique; Sunnie: Esprit
Outfit II: Blazer: Forever 21; Top: H&M
Outfit III: Blazer: Mango; Blouse: H&M, Heels: Via Uno; Clutch: H&M; Hat: H&M; Pearl Necklace: Forever 21

Purchasing my clothes has one requirement: Versatility. I try to use my clothes to the fullest and Combine them in multiple ways to get the most use out of it. The more colour an item consists of the more colour combinations are possible as in these shorts. Even a pattern mix with the striped blouse Looks pretty refreshing and fun. As you can see, I found the perfect piece in these floral short to raging myself out! Even paired with a white blazer or a black top it would look amazing. I guess I have to wait till next summer to find out though, fall is near the corner here in South Germany.
These Shorts are sold out by Zara but Romwomen has pretty much the exact pair of these shorts for the half of the price I paid for. They have the perfect floral pattern shirt to pair it with here. I just stumbled across this freaking and pretty unexpensive online store recently and already love it. you should check it out!
Which combo is your favourite? Do you get the most use out of your fashion pieces?

IMPORTANT NOTE:  My lovely friend Elena from DC in Style and I are teaming up every beginning of a month to have a link up on specific topics with your Girls. Every month we pick one of our favourite Bloggers to host it with us. You are more than welcome to join us next monday, September 2nd on our fall wedding attire. Looking forward what you will come up with.

Have a great start in the week ladies and thanks for reading!

Eve of wedding evening party look

Blazer: H&M; Shorts: Mango; Clutch: Asos; Heels: Asos; Necklace: F21

One of my university girl friends got married coupleweeks ago in Gütersloh. A week before the wedding, she did a traditional german eve of wedding evening party (Polterabend). I wanted to be comfortable yet chic pulled together. A short blazer suit does that to me and is the to go outfit for not so formal occasions. Of course the weather in my hometown Bielefeld was crappy, so tights saved me from brrrrr freezing :-)

We're up all night to get lucky...

Blazer, Top, Shorts last seen here:H&M; Wedgies: Maison Martin Margiela for H&M last seen here and here;Clutch: Mango; Necklace: Forever 21

I am back from my travels to Paris and Amsterdam, what can I say, we had such a blast in the city of love, needless to say I need new feet and shoes from all that walking hahaha.
While we drove from my hometown Bielefeld to Amsterdam by car we listened to the great new song of Daft Punk "get lucky". Isn't it just so funky contagious, gotta love it. As for my outfit, I love to be chic yet comfy in the summer. A good pair of shots paired with a blazer does that to me. Have a great hump day!
