An old flame never dies Link Up

While I was organizing my closet the other day, I came across this lady's suit which I purchased 4 years ago after I graduated from university and needed an appropriate suit for my interviews. As  it is pretty conservative by its own I prepped it up with pink tights and my favourite fur vest. Taking the blazer off wearing a peplum belt and a shirt with leather panels make it so up to date and fashionable.
It's always so effective to invest in classic items as they still can be used in the far future and be mixed up with modern accessoires as I did with this costume. Houndstooth probably never gets out of style and exudes elegance and feminity. I am not a big fan of wearing a complete suit by itself but prefer using the blazer and wear it with another not matching skirt or pants and vice versa. That way outfits can be styled so versatile and appear in a new light.

Except of the fur vest, the peplum belt and the booties everything is older than < 4 years.

I am looking forward to what oldie you digged out of your closet and give renewed sparkle.
The link up series will be open till next sunday. Thank you so much!

black and emerald + Review of my blogger friends on the series an old flame never dies

Leather pants: New York & Company
Top: F21
Boots: Nine West
Belt: C&A
Bracelet: HRH Collection, Tasha
Sunnies: Esprit
Necklace. H&M
Ring: Pilgrim

Since I purchased my favourite new black pants, they have been on heavy rotation. Nothing looks as subtle and so put togehter as a simple pair of leather pants. Plus they look good with pretty much everything. WINNER I would say, especially for the price of 31$ on sale!!!
The pleated emerald top gives the look a feminine yet playful touch especially with the bow belt. An ensemble wouldn't be anilike if it doesn't contain anything playful, right? :-)

PS: I was planing on doing a LINK UP (inlinkz.com) on my series "An Old Flame Never Dies" on Monday, March 4th

In the past I introduced my blogger friends and their oldies but goodies look on my blog invidiually. It would be so much fun to see what all you guys come up to while shopping your closet. As it's my first time with the link up tool I hope it will work out :-).

Top: TJ Max
Pants: H&M
Belt: Asos
Necklace: H&M
Bracelet: Mango
Bag: Chanel
Heels: Worthington

Black and Burgundy are my favourite colour combo for this winter season, fur and leather my favourite textures. No combo is so clean and chic with a vibe of some gold accessoires.
We took those pictures in Atlanta visiting Erics brother and future sister in law before christmas. Always a blast hanging out with them and she is a goodess in the kitchen. Did you ever have oreo brownie ice cake? Hmmmmm good stuff for my love handles hahahaha :-)

PS: Thanks for your super sweet get well wishes, I am feeling better now. However I hope you never will have kidney collic in your urethra, it's the WORST pain ever * I swear by the mooon and the stars in the sky*. The 90 year old lady in my hospital room who had the same issue said "I gave birth to 4 children and it wasn't even close as painful as this".

Black is for Happiness

My New Year's Eve look was a complete black ensemble. Also I brought some pretty dresses with me to celebrate the end of 2012 in Florida, I didn't feel like dolling up myself. Playing with different textures and adding some statement accessories did the work. I felt comfortable yet chic enough to be taken out for a nice dinner with my man. To what pieces do you usually reach when you want to be chic but don't want to put too much effort in it?

 Belt: Asos
Heels: Nine West
Bracelet: HRH Collection, Tasha
Necklace: H&M

I was on the hunt for leather pants for severals months, when Eric's mom and I were running errands and I said "oh let me take a quick look if New York & Company has some leather pants". And I couldn't believe what I saw. Not only did I find the most beautiful and perfect sitting leather pants, they were put 60% on sale. I couldn't resist and got one in black as well. I just love sales shopping, it's the best!
These pics weren taken in Florida, Sarasota while we visited his uncle. I wouldn't mind moving down there, the weather was just beautiful and the Siesta key is such a divine beach. Spring/Summer I can't wait for you to get here as my season depression is driving me nuts!!!!

PS: So sorry about my blogging absence recently, just so unhappy and frustrated with my current life situation!
