Modern Monochrome/Via Uno Pumps

Faux leather skirt: asos; Blouse: Koton; Belt and Bag: Asos; Pumps: Via Uno similar; Ring: Present

Do you love monochromatic dressing? They are a huge trend this season and can be easily created with the basic items you have in your closet. Just look for  pieces that are in the same colour family.

One way to keep your style chic and simple is to mix and match different textures and pattern . It can be as I did on this look  in black and white and throw in some gold accessories (for an extra portion of glamour) or using a different monochrome palette. It doesn't have to be bold. I was playing with different textures as leather, silk and some ruffles and bows for some touch of girlyness.
Usually I like to bring some splash of colour in the monochrome game  to lift it but not today. I wanted to keep it crisp clean and timeless with just black and white.

I have those super cute bow pumps by Via Uno in beige and black. I love their clean and classic feminine designs . Not only are they super comfortable but so affordable too. Do you wear Via Uno?

PS: If you click on asos to see the white leather skirt , you will see a Model who is 1.80 m and rock this skirt like a pro. When I tried this skirt on  it was probably 10 cm under my knees and became a midi skirt, which looks horrible on my figure with 1.66m. SOOOO I pulled the skirt up to nearly my breast so that its hitting my knees, I guess that works . I felt like the sister of Steve Urkel, just needed my suspenders :-D

striped pleated skater skirt with a pop of yellow and orange

skirt: asos on sale now ; jacket: orsay; blouse: f21; clutch: asos  last seen here; heels: Zara (old): lipstick: covergirl 350eternal

Full pleated swing skirts look super flattering on women with curves, especially when they have wide hips. I was trying some maxi skirts on and just looked ridiculous, they are just not made for my figure.  For some reason that don't cont for maxi dresses, they hug my body pretty nicely :-)
So knowing what fits best to my feminine body shape, I tend to grab for skater dresses/skirts with cute pattern like this striped one. I paired it with my lovely ruffled blouse that I got from my by last christmas and ruffled heels for that playful finish. The leather looking jacket with its gold detailing gives it the perfect edgy vibe. I really like the black and white trend but only with a pop of colour so the orange and yellow was exactly the right amount!

shorts with vest and too big sandals

Vest: C&A; Shorts: H&M (recently); Sandals: Marco Tozzi, Shirt: Mango; Bracelet: HRH Collection; Bag: H&M (old): Sunnies: Esprit

I met my girlfriend the other day for brunch and I decided for this urban comfy ensemble. I got these sandals during our trip to Amsterdam. I really loved the detailing unfortunately the didnt have it in my size anymore, so I bought these babies 2 size bigger. I must say, they are pretty comfy and you can only tell they are a lil bit to big while taking a close glimpse ;-). Real leather sandals for 15€ from 150€? Comon, you can't beat that!
Eric booked our hotel right across a shoe outletstore, where of course I have spent quiete some time ;-). So in the future that will be MY most important criteria for choosing a hotel, hehehe. He made me a happy girl, as I  ended up buying 3 pair of gorgeous sandals- he was not so amused! ;-)
Have a great start in the week!

3 Countries, 3 Wedding Guest Looks

Dress: asos; hidden heels: Via Uno, clutch: asos; ring; pilgrim

Wedding season is in its fullest bloom, so many people I know from university, coworkers and even friends are getting married right now, besides the Baby Boom. So I was super excited to team up with my beautiful and stylish blogger friends Jenny from crazystylelove and Rita from  coastwithme  to show you some idea how to get dressed for attending a wedding. Make sure to check out their posts as well!

That grecian collar maxi dress stole my heart from the moment I saw it on asos while I was looking for a great dress for my best friends wedding, it was truly love at first sight. Of course it was sold out in my size, so I stalked the homepage for that dress probably like 10 times a day to check if it is available in my size. Being persistent pays off most of the time, so now I can be the goddess for that empire dress and it feels great ;-).
Are there many wedding celebration going on around your right now? What is your favourite guest look?

Thanks girls for that fun teaming up! You both looked divine in those bright colours and just love the versatility of the different styles! Love ya!

metallic elements

Baroque pattern was the trend in the winter season. I 'd still love to wear it and make a transition to spring by combining it with my gold sandals and my favourite sheer light orange blouse. Have a great start in the week!

We're up all night to get lucky...

Blazer, Top, Shorts last seen here:H&M; Wedgies: Maison Martin Margiela for H&M last seen here and here;Clutch: Mango; Necklace: Forever 21

I am back from my travels to Paris and Amsterdam, what can I say, we had such a blast in the city of love, needless to say I need new feet and shoes from all that walking hahaha.
While we drove from my hometown Bielefeld to Amsterdam by car we listened to the great new song of Daft Punk "get lucky". Isn't it just so funky contagious, gotta love it. As for my outfit, I love to be chic yet comfy in the summer. A good pair of shots paired with a blazer does that to me. Have a great hump day!

Cornblue

Dress: Mango; Blouse; Zara; Heels; Zara, Clutch:; Mango; Necklace: F21

As it was still too cold just to wear the pleated dress (last time worn here) by itself, I decided to change it to a skirt and wear my scarf silk blouse with it. I really love that corn blue colour, it has something refreshing yet very chic to it.
As you will read this blog I will be flying out to Paris with my bf for a week, very excited to see all the sightseeing spots, never have been there before. I will be back next Tuesday and hope to see you around :-)
